Hi, I’m Cristy, founder of Blue Ash Labs. I have spent the last 15 years collecting, cleaning and growing native Plants, helping to restore native grasslands, forests, wetlands, and urban spaces with plants that truly belong here. My passion blends history, science and art with dash of storytelling on the side. I believe ecological restoration should be both functional and joyful and available to all, without being overly confusing.

 With a background in large-scale restoration projects and community-driven conservation, I manage everything from inventory and partnerships to project design and outreach. I’m passionate about ethical seed sourcing, transparent budgeting, and building collaborations that make restoration scalable and sustainable.

 Beyond the technical side, I love weaving humor, art, and education into my work—whether it’s through playful outreach materials, botanical illustrations, or hands-on workshops. Blue Ash Labs is more than a seed lab; it’s a hub for re-wilding and reconnecting people with the ecosystems that sustain and heal us.
